Hey everyone! Today I wanted to just sit and chat about one of my favorite shows, Survivor. The new season, titled Survivor Game Changers, just premiere so I wanted to share my thoughts here on Life With Faith. Hopefully, y'all find what I have to say enjoyable and hopefully I can find some other Survivor lovers to chat about the show with!
First of all, I wanted to say that I love the fact that this season is all about game changers. This means that all the castaways are returning players who did something big during their first season (or seasons) playing that changed the way future castaways play the game. I think this is a cool concept and a different take on the typical All Stars season. Besides, I'm such a fan of the game I really love seeing former players come back.
As far as the players are concerned, there's definitively some castaways I'm really excited to see back to play the game again. I loved Cirie the first time I saw her play so I'm happy to see her again. Ozzy is such a Survivor legend that it's awesome to see him back in the game. I also thought Michaela was such a good player and so funny the first time she played so I really think she deserves a second shot at playing the game of Survivor. With that being said, there are also a few players I'm not sure how I feel about. Zeke is one of those players. I love his love for the game but I'm still not totally sold on him. I feel the same way about Aubry. I like what she stands for but, again, I'm not solved. I'm going to end my talk about the players with that. I want to keep the content here on Life With Faith positive, so I don't want to sit here and talk about players I don't like or talk bad about any of them. I hope y'all understand that. But if you ever want to talk to me about Survivor more in depth, send me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
As far as other thoughts I have on this episode: I like how they jumped into game play so hard and so fast. I'm excited to see the level of game play that this season will hold. I think it has the potential to be really awesome. I love how flawlessly the first eviction and tribal counsel ended up in a blindside too! I also really love the new twist to tribal counsel this season. There's no re-vote when the original vote ends in a tie. The castaways immediately have to unanimously decide which person will go, or else the two with tied votes are safe and the rest have the "draw rocks," meaning that each blindly chooses a stone, and the one with the white stone is evicted. I think it makes evictions more complicated and also opens up the possibility for much more drama so I'm excited to see how it plays out. I'm always impressed by the challenges on this show, and this seasons premiere was not exception. I thought both challenges we saw in this episode were pretty cool.
Overall, this episode was good and makes me super excited for the rest of the season. Please don't forget to comment down bellow (or email me) if you watch Survivor and have any thoughts of your own about the season premiere you'd like to share. I really love this show, and most other reality TV shows, so I would also love to get any comments or emails from y'all about it so I have more people to talk about the show with! I also want to mention the fact that I found a Survivor podcast I'm excited to try. I've been literally obsessed with podcasts lately that I decided to try to find one about Survivor, and I did! It's called Survivor Fans Podcast. I haven't listened to any of it yet, so I don't know if I like it or not. But, I'm super excited to give it a try and I'll share my thoughts in my Brunch With Faith post at the end of March! I hope all you Survivor fans enjoyed the season premiere of Survivor Game Changers as much as I did!
